Tickets are officially on sale for the Fall Mount Dora Ice Cream Stroll & Pup Walk, presented by VyStar Credit Union, returning to downtown Mount Dora on Sunday, October 11.

And if the spring stroll taught us anything, it’s this: don’t wait to get your tickets.

More than 550 people joined us in April for a sold-out afternoon that sent families, friends and plenty of four-legged companions strolling through downtown Mount Dora in search of their next scoop. This fall, we’re doing it all over again—with more than 20 ice cream samples, treats for the pups and more surprises still to be announced.

How the Stroll Works

The idea is simple: come hungry and explore Mount Dora.

Guests will check in before setting off on a self-guided tasting adventure through downtown, with more than 20 ice cream samples from Scoops on 5th and Waffles & Cream waiting at participating local businesses along the route.

There’s no prescribed path. Pick where you want to start, wander from stop to stop and discover some new downtown favorites along the way.

Mystic Ice Cream is getting in on the fun, too, with samples available directly from its Alexander Street ice cream shop.

It turns an afternoon of ice cream into an excuse to see just how much there is tucked into a few walkable blocks of Mount Dora.

The Pups Get Their Own Treats

This isn’t an ice cream stroll where your dog has to stay home.

The Pup Walk returns this fall with dog treats from Earl’s Bakehouse and DogTuff, giving our four-legged guests their own reasons to get excited at stops along the way.

The Pup Walk debuted at the spring event and quickly became part of what made the afternoon so much fun. Downtown was filled with dogs of all shapes and sizes making the rounds right alongside everyone else.

So yes, your dog is invited.

And with today being National Dog Day, consider this your official excuse to tell them about their October plans a little early.

550+ People Joined Us Last Time

The spring Ice Cream Stroll & Pup Walk didn’t just draw a crowd—it sold out.

More than 550 attendees filled downtown during the two-hour event, moving between local shops, restaurants and businesses while sampling ice cream along the way.

Lake & Sumter Style captured the turnout and downtown atmosphere following the spring event.

That turnout is exactly why we’re encouraging anyone who wants to join us this fall to purchase tickets early.

We expect to sell out again.

VyStar’s support helps make it possible for the Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce to create an event that does more than serve a lot of ice cream.

The stroll brings hundreds of people directly through the doors of businesses across downtown, encourages visitors to explore places they may not have discovered before and creates an afternoon that brings residents, visitors and local businesses together.
