Description
Interested in leveraging your knowledge for additional profit? Starting your own consulting business may be the answer. What is consulting? It is providing advice/expertise/support using your existing expertise in technology, psychology, teaching, editing, personal training, gardening, or other areas. Compared to many types of start-up businesses, consulting can require less up-front investment and can ramp up quickly. Courtesy of the Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership, SCORE is hosting an in-person event in the Power Plant Business Incubator Training Room. Register now to reserve your seat. A light breakfast is included.
You have heard about consultants charging hundreds of dollars per hour. With 2000 working hours per year that means major annual income. It is essential to understand reality before you launch on your own. What is the truth about being a consultant? How much can you really make? What are the pit falls? What do you have to do to be successful? We will focus on getting clients, taking good care of them, invoicing practices, and key performance indicators. This will be all based on real life experience; no theory.
You will hear from several SCORE experts who successfully started their own businesses so you can learn first-hand what works and what doesn’t. This will be an interactive event so that you have plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
