Cruisin’ for St. Jude Scrambler Poker Run
Registration: 8:30 a.m. | Kickstands Up: 10:30 a.m. | AMVETS Post 1992 | $20
Start Saturday with a ride for a good cause during the Cruisin’ for St. Jude Scrambler Poker Run, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The ride begins at AMVETS Post 1992 in Mount Dora and travels through Lake County, with stops including American Legion Post 35 in Mount Dora, before ending at Dirty South Saloon in Leesburg.
The finish includes food, a full bar, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, auctions and live entertainment. Each participant also receives a commemorative “I Rode for St. Jude” patch.
All About T. rex
2–3 p.m. | W.T. Bland Public Library | FREE
Adults and children ages 8+ can learn more about the tyrant lizard king during All About T. rex, including what it ate, how it ate and how other dinosaurs defended themselves.
While you’re there, check out the library’s 20-foot-long T. rex skeleton replica, on display through August 31.
Lemonade Lecture: Antique Sewing Tools
3–4 p.m. | Simpson Farmhouse | FREE
Step back into 1905 during the Lemonade Lecture: Antique Sewing Tools.
City Archivist Erin Creel will showcase antique sewing tools, costumed volunteers will offer tours of the first floor of the farmhouse, and refreshments will be served on the front porch. No registration is required.
14 Sketches with Rauce Padgett & Joel Warren
6:30 p.m. Happy Hour Social | 8 p.m. Show | Mount Dora Music Hall
Central Florida comedians Rauce Padgett and Joel Warren bring 14 Sketches to the Mount Dora Music Hall Saturday night.
The show features 14 original comedy sketches. Tickets are $20 general admission and $40 VIP, plus service fees. Recommended for mature audiences.

Blackwater Creek Bluegrass Band brings an afternoon of bluegrass, Americana and folk to the library, with banjo, bass, fiddle, guitar and mandolin.
No registration is required, and seating is first come, first served.
