First Presbyterian Mount Dora will begin offering two Sunday worship services on October 4, World Communion Sunday, providing members, visitors, and guests with two distinct opportunities to gather in worship while remaining one church family.

The new schedule will begin with a special celebration of World Communion Sunday, a day when Christians around the world gather at the Lord’s Table in recognition of the unity of the global church.

Beginning October 4:

9:00 a.m. – The Well
Biery Hall
A relaxed, contemporary worship experience.

11:00 a.m. – Traditional Worship
Sanctuary
A traditional service featuring hymns, choir, and familiar elements of Presbyterian worship.

“World Communion Sunday is a meaningful day to begin this new chapter,” said Rev. Dr. Brenda Loyal, pastor of First Presbyterian Mount Dora. “As Christians around the world gather around Christ’s table, we are reminded that although we worship in different places and traditions, we are one body in Christ.”

The two-service format is designed to provide worship options while keeping the congregation connected as one community of faith. Both services welcome longtime members, new residents, seasonal residents, and visitors to Mount Dora.
